Services, evidence and buyer fit
AEO agencies: compare answer engine optimisation services
Answer engine optimisation (AEO) helps organisations make their information useful and discoverable when people ask search engines and AI assistants questions. An AEO brief should identify the questions that matter to customers, the pages that answer them and the evidence needed to support those answers.
Compare documented services
Start with the questions your customers need answered.
Question research
A prioritised set of customer questions, grouped by buying decision and linked to existing pages. Ask how questions were selected and whose needs they represent.
Answer and evidence design
Clear answers supported by original expertise, product information or named sources. Require a process for checking factual claims and keeping answers current.
Technical implementation
A named owner for crawlability, internal links, page structure and relevant structured data. Ask which changes the agency will implement and which require your developers.
Answer visibility reporting
A repeatable sample of questions with engine, date, location and cited URL recorded. Separate appearing in an answer from receiving a visit or winning a customer.
Agencies with published AEO services
These 4 examples link to agency-published service information checked on 10 October 2026. They are shown in the existing global ranking order. Inclusion here confirms a published offer, not independently verified results or a new AEO award. This is a selected evidence set, not an exhaustive list of providers.

We already have a large FAQ section. What changes?
Ask the agency to identify an unanswered customer decision and the evidence it would add. More FAQs alone are not a strategy.
How should an AEO pilot be scoped?
Choose one product or service, one audience and a defined group of questions. Agree the baseline, content changes, implementation owner and review date before expanding.
What would make the report misleading?
A few favourable screenshots, a changing question set or a score with no denominator. Request the full sample, including questions where the brand did not appear.
Compare providers in your market
Start with the delivery team and evidence that match your brief. For an international engagement, confirm supported languages, meeting times, implementation access and the handling of customer data.
Common AEO questions
Is AEO different from SEO?
AEO usually describes work focused on answers, questions and citations. It overlaps with SEO: useful content, accessible pages and reliable information still matter. Agencies use the term differently, so compare the deliverables in their proposals.
Does an AEO agency guarantee inclusion in AI answers?
No agency controls an answer engine. A credible proposal explains what will be changed and measured without guaranteeing a recommendation, citation or ranking.
Are these new AEO rankings?
No. These are documented service examples from the existing directory, shown in its published global order. They do not create a new award or alter an existing rank.
What Google says
Google treats optimisation for its generative search features as part of SEO. Its guidance prioritises useful, original information and existing search fundamentals. The service labels used by agencies do not establish a separate Google certification.
