About the ranking

A practical comparison for choosing a search agency.

Leading Search List is an annual comparison for buyers evaluating SEO, AI SEO, AEO and GEO agencies. It combines a published assessment framework with filter-aware decision tools and links to the public evidence reviewed.

Assessment policy

Every agency is assessed against the published methodology.

Agency submissions and profile corrections are reviewed using the same assessment framework as the wider directory. A request for assessment does not guarantee inclusion, a score or a position.

The 2026 order reflects public evidence available at the edition date. Factual corrections may be made between editions, while ranking positions remain fixed until the next annual assessment.

Methodology

How the 2026 ranking is calculated

35%

Search depth

Technical SEO capability, strategic range, service clarity and evidence of sustained search practice.

30%

AI SEO

Explicit AEO, GEO or AI-visibility capability integrated with traditional search, not simply generic use of AI tools.

20%

Evidence

Case studies, named work, original research, service documentation and other publicly verifiable proof available at assessment.

15%

Client fit

Clarity about ideal clients, sector or market focus, delivery model and the problems the agency is equipped to solve.

Assessment date: 26 August 2026.

Next scheduled assessment: 2027.

Sources: Official agency websites and publicly available source material. A link on a profile is evidence reviewed, not an endorsement of every claim it contains.

Price bands: $ is the lowest relative engagement band and $$$ the highest. We checked available public pricing and market signals when assigning a band, but every buyer should confirm current fees directly.

Assessments: Comparative editorial indicators, not audits or guarantees of future performance. Buyers should request recent, relevant case studies and references directly.

Data collection

How the directory’s information is collected

Sources and window: Information was collected and checked in August 2026 from each agency’s website and published materials, public case studies, talks and research, public listings and market price signals, and official registries where relevant.

Process: The record for each agency covers location, specialisations, client fit, relative price band, capability signals, source links and the evidence supporting the assessment. If reliable public sources conflict, both positions are recorded rather than silently choosing one.

Limits: The directory does not record private data or claims that cannot be verified from a public source. An empty field is omitted rather than estimated.

Corrections and cadence: Factual corrections can be submitted through the agency submission route and are reviewed between editions. No fixed response time is currently promised. Ranking positions remain fixed until the next annual assessment, and the dataset is versioned by edition.

AI SEO

Work that improves how a brand is found, understood and cited across search engines and AI answer systems.

AEO

Answer engine optimisation focuses on earning visibility and citations in systems that answer questions directly.

GEO

Generative engine optimisation concerns how generative systems understand, describe and recommend a brand.

Corrections and submissions

Something missing or wrong?

Agencies may submit corrections, updated evidence or a request for future assessment. Commercial activity does not determine editorial inclusion or rank.
